The Better Sex Project

Genre: Memoir and Non Fiction.
Audience: Women in their mid 20’s and 30’s.

Tara O, an exceptional sex coach known for her blend of insight and wit, approached me to help bring her debut novel to life. Drawing inspiration from the cover of A Very Nice Girl, the brief called for a design that felt clean and refined while still expressing playfulness and energy — without leaning into overt sexuality. After exploring a range of sexual wellness titles centered on pleasure, I began experimenting with color palettes, typography, and layout treatments, ultimately presenting three distinct concepts for Tara to choose from.

She selected the second concept, requesting the title font from the first iteration in place of the original 70s-inspired serif. We then refined the subtitle styling and review quote to achieve a cohesive, polished finish. It was a genuine pleasure to collaborate on this project and format her novel — especially since I thoroughly enjoyed every moment spent reading it.
